essentially, ThinkTank is the idea incubator and brainstorming team, and R&D handles the follow-thru with respect to methods, patterns, materials, and technology. 

 

currently, this department is knee-deep in the greenhouse project. the R&D team has tested readily available materials, like PVC sch. 40 piping and joints, as well as techniques for maintaining humidity and warmth within the space over the winter. once this project is made into its own department with its own permanent team, R&D will release the means by which we (hopefully) acheived our goals. 

 

that said, our greenhouse goal is to sustain semi-hardy plants over the brutal NorthEastern winter. we'll let you know how it goes - until then, friends!
